'Nevermore' -  [link] (copyright) I: am the lone shadow Swooping low with its ravenous wings Bestowed upon winters’ eerie unrest. And at its best, to utter a piercing shriek Shrill’d and somewhat tainted bleak. Mortally muted with motionless feather Clung to a charred chamber door, rapping - tapping A flight to mighty oak thou mortally seek. Lo and behold, but unmoved the frazzled raven Exhausted - at the end of his tether. As the scarecrow blinks, lifting and blue skies ever more As the blackbird sings, there is lightness and nothing more. |
